Alan CaswellI am a fine artist living in Swansea, Wales UK. I paint landscapes, seascapes and portraits. The medium I use is oil paint on canvas. I am heavily influenced by my surroundings, places in and around the South Wales area of Swansea. My paintings of Swansea and Wales reflect the stunning beauty of Wales. Many of my paintings are of Swansea Bay.
I paint in the style which is very much my own interpretation and use of colour and form. During my studies at University College Swansea I studied under International Artist George Little who inspired me to see and experience the patterns which make a painting. I study the old masters to learn how they did it and the work of contemporary painters and of course directly from nature. There is always something new to learn, something new to discover.
Curenrly I am studying realist portraiture techniques.
